Diagnosis dead bee samples

Ingezonden monster dode bijenBee samples

As a service to beekeepers bees@wur diagnoses dead bees. Mortality in particular occurs in winter and in spring. Dead bee samples are analysed for the presence of Nosema, amoebae, Varroa, acarapis mite disease, and other possible aberrations, after which recommendations are made for solving the problem.

This free-of-charge service for beekeepers is possible through support by the Netherlands Ministry of Agriculture, Nature Management and the Environment, and the EU in the context of varroa control.
