Diseases that may cause considerable damage occur in the culture of edible mushrooms. Disease recognition enables restriction of further development by taking the right measures.
Samples of spawn, various substrates and mushrooms can be submitted for a diagnostic analysis. Diagnostics Service Mushrooms analyses which fungus, bacterium or virus is present by means of microscopic methods or with molecular techniques.
Take a sample as described in our guidelines or let us take the sample. Sample plus completed diagnostics form can be handed in at the reception desk of PRI Mushrooms or can be sent to Droevendaalsesteeg 1, Building 107, 6708 PB Wageningen, the Netherlands. You receive the analytical result by letter or by e-mail. You can take any required measures on the basis of these results. If necessary, we advise on the control of the detected disease.
Possibilities and prices
Prices are excl. VAT and apply per sample. Special prices can be agreed for periodic control of various substrates and mushrooms or for several samples.
Presence pathogenic/weed fungi: €130.- (outside the Netherlands €160.-)
The presence of pathogenic or weed fungi is determined by means of microscopic methods. Result of the analysis about 7 days after receipt of the sample.
Quantitative determination of the number of pathogenic or weed fungi: € 210.-
The presence and the amount of pathogenic or weed fungi is determined by means of microscopic methods. Result of the analysis about 9 days after receipt of the sample.
Scytalidium analysis: € 160.-
The presence and amount in compost are determined by means of microscopic methods. Result of the analysis about 7 days after receipt of the sample.
Virus analysis: € 350.-
The presence of virus in compost or button mushrooms is determined by means of molecular techniques. Result of the analysis about 3 days after receipt of the sample.
Virus X or bare patch analysis: € 465.-
The presence of virus X in button mushrooms is determined by means of molecular techniques. Result of the analysis about 3 days after receipt of the sample.
