| Productivity |
Moderate to reasonably good, with a high percentage of first quality fruit. The plant tolerates being grown at high density thus allowing for optimal land use. |
| Growth |
Strong, upright and quite open. The trusses are long and readily visible. Consequently the fruit is quick and easy to pick. |
| Flowering |
Reasonably rich-flowering, with large blooms bearing well-developed anthers. |
| Ripening |
Early; slightly later than Avanta but considerably earlier than Elsanta. |
| Fruit appearance |
Large with a slightly elongated cone shape; very uniform in size and shape. The fruit has a striking red colour and a shiny appearance. |
| Fruit quality |
Firm, not readily bruised; light-red fleshed, very juicy with and outstanding flavour and aroma. The taste is noticeably better than other varieties. |
| Diseases |
Good resistance to Verticillium Wilt, Crown Rot and Grey Mold. Slightly prone to Mildew and Alternaria Leaf Spot and somewhat susceptible to Red Core. |
| Forcing |
Lambada is suitable for forcing under plastic. |
